Fiendish Fancies - We Feed the Fire - Polish Pickup March 2018

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! What better way to help celebrate the day but to show you a pretty pink inspired by one woman's love of horror? Heh. I'm kidding. Kind of.

Today, I have the exclusive for March's Polish Pickup from Fiendish Fancies. This is Fiendish Fancies' first month participating in the PPU event and how much more perfect could it be than the theme to be books, which allowed Lara to stick to the niche she knows and loves.  'We Feed the Fire' is inspired by Clive Barker's Sacrament.

But first, you might be wondering what is Polish Pickup?

Polish Pickup is a monthly indie polish collaboration project. Each month fans suggest and then vote on themes, after which brands then create a little bottle of goodness (or an extra) based on the winning theme. The first weekend of each month, the pre-order window opens and customers can shop until their heart's content (or their wallet is empty, whichever comes first). The polish is all shipped from a central location and will all arrive on your doorstep in one tidy, handy little package filled with all that is wonderful.  Oh, did I mention that the shipping rates are the lowest in the indie polish world? AND they combine orders so you only have to pay shipping once (no matter how much you end up ordering?  Yeah.  Genius.

So, now on to why you're here!  The polish!

This is the cover of the book that Lara based her polish on. Like I mentioned before, it is Clive Barker's Sacrament.

We Feed the Fire

'We Feed the Fire' is described as a pink with violet shimmer and a hint of holo. It also has a copper, turquoise, and purple flash.  To my eye, it looks like there are some golden flakies in there too.

For a pick lover, this polish is just so perfect. It's represents the cover of the book so well and Lara always has the best names. I love how she never just picks things because.  All the polish, the inspiration, the names are always well thought out.

I used three thin coats to get the coverage that you see here. I always allow each coat to slightly dry before moving on to the next (mostly because I have such a strong c-curve that if I don't do this, I get dragging). I topped it with a shiny quick dry top coat.  No issues to report with application, formula, or removal.

'We Feed the Fire' will be available from March 2nd - March 5th at www.polishpickup.com. It will be capped at 150 bottles, so I wouldn't wait on this.  Every month, the frenzy for PPU is getting more and more and things are selling out quickly when capped.
